The Astra Anima blog is both the blog for my magickal workings, research, and teaching. On here you will find magickal book reviews, witchcraft articles, spells, tarot and oracle card spreads, moon magick guides, witchcraft information, recipes, and more. It’s an eclectic witchcraft/pagan blog, so hopefully you will find something helpful here no matter your path. About the Witch
I am an eclectic pagan Taoist witch of over 20 years, a teacher, a Scorpio, and the organizer of a small coven. I was raised within an Eastern religious tradition and those beliefs of karma and reincarnation harmonized beautifully with witchcraft. I became a witch when I was in 8th grade (13 years old) and practiced with a coven for years before becoming a solitary. Of my 24 years as a pagan, 12 have been as a practicing witch. Read more about my witchcraft journey though my about the witch article.
Currently, I observe the New Moons as a solitary witch, use the Full Moons to charge my magickal tools and reflect in my journal, and celebrate the eight Sabbats of the Wheel of the Year with my coven. I am out of the the ‘broom closet’. However, I am a teacher in the South, so I am not open about my witchcraft in the classroom, as students are often fearful, but I happily answer any questions that students have.
I had an amazing coven in my formative years with the most organized and hardworking coven leader; she inspires me constantly.
