It’s time for another magickal link roundup, the last one of 2017 to be exact! I’ve been finding so many wonderful resources around the witchy web that I’ve had a couple of requests to break this monthly post into two, more digestible, bi-monthly chunks. I think it’s a great idea, so here is part two of December’s magickal link roundup.
Below you will find the my favorite links from around the magickal interweb from the second half of December 2017. If you have a favorite witchy post/blog/product to share, please feel free to post it in the comments.
~ Late December 2017 Magickal Link Roundup ~
Astrology & Numerology
2018 Horoscopes: Your Yearly Astrological Forecast on Astrostyle – There is a lot of movement in the stars in 2018; this post is an overview of what to expect with specific details for each sign.
January Month Horoscope: Intentions Get Activated on Astrostyle – Very similar to their post above, but more information on planetary movement in January and what it means.
Books & Publications
Femme Fatale Volume 2 Zine on Little Paper Forest – I got this fancy zine as a holiday gift and absolutely love it. $15 is a bit pricey for a zine, but the print and paper quality is excellent, and I loved the content of the zine itself. If it appeals to you, I highly recommend it.
DIY & Handmade
DIY Swan Garland on A Beautiful Mess – A very cute idea for a garland made with cookie cutters and Sculpey. It looks really easy to make, which I like, and could be adapted for many different Sabbats.
Yule Essential Oil Diffuser Blend on The Witch of Lupine Hollow – An essential oil blend for the Yuletide season.
Cancer Full Moon Ritual January 2018 on Forever Conscious – A simple cleansing ritual for the January 2018 Full Moon in Cancer designed to release negative emotions.
Full Moon in Capricorn Infographic on Witchy Words – A helpful infographic for your Grimoire or magickal journal.
Tarot & Divination
4 Magical Tarot Spreads to Help You Rock 2018 on Biddy Tarot – Four suggested tarot spreads for New Year’s Eve (or early January) and when to use them. I liked that the spreads actually went into the details about when each spread would be most applicable.
Kawaii Tarot: A 78-Card Deck of Magic and Cute by Diana Lopez – This is a pre-order for the Kawaii Tarot deck, previously produced independently by Lopez. This tarot deck has been on my wishlist for a long time, but it’s $40 price tag made me hesitate. Now that it’s been picked up by a publishing house, the deck is $13 and includes a book.
The Minor Arcana of the Tarot de Marseilles on Labyrinthos Academy – Late December has been great for indie tarot decks; this post announces their intention to make a Tarot de Marseilles deck in the same style as the Seventh Sphere Lenormand. It’s a ‘take my money’ moment for me. The deck seems like it’s well underway, and is absolutely gorgeous and modern. I’m excited to hear more!
Witchcraft & Paganism
5 Witchy Ways to Fight Depression on Flying the Hedge – The author of Flying the Hedge has SAD (Seasonal Affective Disorder) which means the longer nights and shorter days that make the ‘dark half’ of the Wheel are very hard for her. This article gives five tips to help with depression (along with therapy); a short, helpful read.
Herbarium: Ivy and Herbarium: Thyme on Flying the Hedge – Magickal information about ivy and thyme (respectively) to add to your Book of Shadows. This is especially helpful for Green Witches who are compiling plant correspondences, and goes over quite a bit of information. These posts also have a printable for your BoS/Grimoire at the bottom of the page.
Lunar Teas & Slow Magick on Worts & Cunning Apothecary – There are times that every witch feels like s/he has lost their magick; the author discusses this feeling, familiar to us all, and gives the readers her tea blend that made her realize that sometimes being ‘okay’ is okay. I just drafted a post two days before this one about what to do when you lose your magick – it really does happen to us all!
Magickal Properties of Birch Infographic on Flying the Hedge – A nice infographic to add to your Grimoire or Book of Shadows.
I hope you find these links helpful for you magickal doings. I very much enjoyed compiling them, and hope you find these resources useful, too. I will be back in the middle of January for another link roundup. In the meantime, I hope that winter is treating you well!
Blessed be, friends.
